Have you heard about Amazon Prime Day?
If you’re on Facebook at all today, chances are you will see the many pop-ups for Amazon Prime Day. Yes – a day to get some really great deals — but also a fantastic marketing innovation created by Amazon.
Think about it — they created a whole day around their company, the products they offer, and created a huge buzz encouraging people to check it out — and ultimately spend money. I can only imagine the revenue spike they will see today.
In the work that I do, I spend a lot of time on the edges of successful businesses. I’m always curious to find out — what works? what doesn’t? How could they do it better?
Amazon Prime Day really made me think — how can this apply to other businesses? How could you create a whole day just around your business ? And what would be the impact – in terms of revenue? brand recognition? market impact?
